What a Week!

Hank had a difficult, cranky week, because it's hard work growing teeth! His top two front teeth poked through! And then there were four. Still waiting on those canines, though.

Sunlight filtered through vertical blinds makes lines of light on the carpet and walls. He is mystified by this.

Hank thinks he can just keep walking straight up walls, and tries to do so with Big Steps, the kind he uses on stairs. However, his inevitable failure upsets him a lot. Poor boy thinks he's Spiderman.

Had a fun Skype date with Grandma and Grandpa Lemmon!

Has some trouble sitting through all three hours of church, and prefers to walk the halls and spend hour three in the nursery room, playing with toys.

Hates putting clothes on like it's the end of the world. Changing diapers has also become a bit more challenging now that he no longer lies there obediently, but keeps trying to roll and wriggle away with surprising strength and speed.

He is a natural-born wrestler. Every time I go for his legs, he sprawls! And he is usually much faster than I am.

Mealtimes are messy, messy! He always wants to try whatever we're eating, so we try only to eat what he can also eat. The only exceptions being things that are too spicy, or things that he needs more teeth before he can eat. But hey, it makes us eat healthier, too!

Hank met his first dog! It was a big yellow lab that an older couple was walking down the street outside our apartment. He was such a good-looking, friendly big dog. He snuffled at Hank and gave him a few licks. Hank was very confused.

It was a hard week for a teething baby, but Hank managed to have fun anyway. Brian even set up a maze for Hank to cruise on in the spare room! What a great Daddy for a little boy to have. Hope everyone has a great weekend! Happy Cinco De Mayo tomorrow!
